Sketch for a commission, as well as the third, final drawing for a future video of mine. So now I gotta do the actual writing and recording and whatnot.

I'm downstairs on a laptop, given the living room is cooler than my bedroom. I tried to get some sleep, but couldn't get any.

Since I was out of bottled water, I had to wait until the only shop I know that opens at 6am to be open. I got there a bit early and met some fat guy doing what I think were "sun salutes" to the four directions. While waiting for the store, he introduced himself as "Dave the Creator".

He claimed to have created one-hundred-twenty-something universes, and offered me his business card for his website which I declined. I politely and humbly said "Thank you for your efforts in creation" all the while the shop was just opening up. When he said "Do you think I'm joking?" in which I pretended I didn't hear him and entered the shop.

Awkwardly, he followed me into the shop, claiming he had colourful wings. Given he was just behind me at the cold drinks aisle I was hoping he had no intentions in following me. Thankfully he brought whatever he wanted and leave and I didn't encounter him on the way back.

I'm just... so tired.

Somehow I can still sleep with the fan on.

But indoor is hitting 30°C with curtains drawn, cooler on and doing as much as possible to keep heat out.

Luckilly it will shift after the weekend.

As this unit is rental, I can't decide to install A/C on my own.

I've had close to 30 °C for a while, though I can't sleep with a fan due to the noise. I need absolute silence.

We have to struggle on till Wednesday for weather to change.

 No.1208367

Went to bed around 1am given heatwave has cooled down to 17°C and figured now would be the time to actually sleep in my own room.

Of course, given I didn't get any sleep the night before and been heavy napping yesterday over it, I wasn't that tired and was just lying there until around 4:30.

It's now gone 1pm and the temperature outside is currently 23°C, but the forecast says it will decrease after 4pm and that'll be the end of the heatwave.

What's concerning for me is... Summer has just started not to long a go and we Brits already had two major heatwaves.

I had a feeling the first was just teaser for upcoming attractions, and I was right.

I don't want summers to be like this for me any more.

Maybe. At least around here, homes are made to HOLD heat precisely because we are not used to things being so damn hot.

But this has been an unusualy hot summer and even then it's mainly been these few days. Highly unlikely that'll lead to truly massive change very soon
